Terms & Conditions - Cooking Class

By booking a cooking class, you agree that:

  1. You will arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class

  2. You will follow our health, safety and hygiene procedures.

  3. You will wear flat shoes with non slip soles and covered toes, and wear sensible clothing - we are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing. Long hair must be tied back in the kitchen, and a minimal amount of jewellery worn.

  4. You will not attend if you have been ill in the 48 hours before your session with any diseases or infections. E.g flu, diarrhoea, vomiting etc. This is to protect our customers as these sort of illnesses can be spread through food. In the event that you are unwell we ask that you send someone in your place.

  5. You may be refused entry if we suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, are ill with a communicable disease or that you are engaging in inappropriate behaviour. True Zest Kitchen reserves the right to ask any participants to leave at any time in the event that their behaviour, attitude and or conduct is deemed by True Zest kitchen to be disruptive, offensive to others, dangerous, reckless, and or harmful in any way

  6. You may be photographed or filmed during your lesson and True Zest Kitchen may use any photographs and / or recordings featuring you, and may cut, edit and adapt as necessary for use on the True Zest Kitchen website, and other social media platforms.

  7. As a participant in one of our classes you understand and accept the inherent risks in the preparation and cooking of food at a cooking class, and it is understood and expressly agreed by you that by making payment for and / or attending a class, to the extent permitted by law, you release, indemnify and hold harmless True Zest Kitchen from any and all liability of whatsoever nature for any damage, harm and or injury that may result from or is in connection with your attendance and or participation

  8. Without exception you will indemnify and hold us and our employees harmless from all responsibility for any loss of personal property whilst at True Zest Kitchen

  9. You must be over 18. We can accept children above the age of 15 if they are accompanied by an adult at all times.

  10. You will inform us in advance of any allergies, food intolerances, disabilities, diabetes, pregnancy, epilepsy, learning difficulties etc

  11. You understand that True Zest Kitchen is part of a house where cats live. If you have a cat allergy the final decision to attend is down to you, and must be  made at the time of booking.

  12. The menus posted on our website may be subject to variations if ingredients are not available

Booking and payment


  • Places are booked on a first come first served basis upon receipt of payment confirmation.

  • Payment in full is required at the time of booking.

  • On booking and paying for a class you will receive a payment confirmation by email with directions to the venue.

  • If you have purchased a course as a gift please contact us and we can send you a personalised gift card token for the recipient.

Terms of cancellations:


  • We apologise that due to the costs of preparation for the running of each class, including the purchase of fresh food and produce, True Zest Kitchen are unable to offer a refund with less than 7 days notice.

  • You may request a change of class up to 7 days before the start of the course, and we will happily transfer you to another class / date subject to availability and without cost.

  • You may also request a refund up to 7 days before the start of the course you have booked. This will be subject to a £5 admin fee.

  • You may nominate someone else (over 18) to attend the class in your place at any time without charge.

  • In the event that you are unwell we ask you to send someone in your place. Please notify us of the details for the new person attending in your place.

  • To request a cancellation or to book an alternative date email cath@truezest.co.uk at least 7 days before your lesson to cancel or reschedule. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your cancellation. Unless you have received a written acknowledgement from us that we have received your request you cannot consider your request delivered, and it would be advisable to call us to check that the email did not get lost / was not sent.

  • In the unlikely event a class is cancelled by True Zest Kitchen a full refund will be arranged, or an alternative date offered.
